The Strauss Hall is a unique historical monument where the musical heritage that made Vienna a world-renowned city of music was born.

The Strauss Hall in the former Casino Zögernitz is the last remaining hall in its original form, where all four Strauss composers—Johann Strauss the Elder, Johann Strauss the Younger, Josef Strauss, and Eduard Strauss—once performed.

Today, visitors in the historic Strauss Hall can look forward to a special highlight:

A 15-minute LED show featuring our Strauss avatar performing his most beautiful works, which is part of the museum’s overall experience, along with the Strauss live concerts that take place every Tuesday at the original historic venue. To enhance the authentic experience even further, visitors can sit on original Thonet chairs from that era.

Since 1837, many prominent composers and musicians have graced this exceptional venue.

The hall’s architectural design provides unparalleled acoustics, unmatched by any other concert hall globally. For over two decades, this unique acoustic environment made the hall a sought-after recording studio for orchestral works, particularly for Teldec and Sony. The Vienna Boys' Choir and the esteemed conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt also utilized the hall’s exceptional sound quality for their recordings. Visitors today can sit on the original Thonet chairs from that era, enhancing the authentic experience.

Today, the Strauss Hall stands as a one-of-a-kind monument to Vienna's musical heritage, offering an authentic auditory experience that echoes the city’s illustrious musical past.
